AffiliationsProud associations benefiting our whole school community
Crompton House School has long established roots in the Diocese of Manchester. The land and main school house was bequeathed by the Crompton Family to the Diocese of Manchester to set up the school in 1926 for the benefit of the children of the Diocese. Our continued association underpins the Christian ethos of the school and is acknowledged in our Governing body and Articles of Association.
In partnership with the Metropolitan University of Manchester and the University of Huddersfield the school is a centre for Teacher Training. Around 100 trainees work alongside our staff and pupils each year.
Crompton House is part of Northern Alliance partnership formed in 2013 and is involved in the selection and training process for new trainee teachers along with other top primary and secondary schools in the North West. Our affiliation gives the school access to best practice in teaching and learning and high quality staffing.
We are very pleased with our relationship with the Oldham Music Service and they are an invaluable stakeholder and contribute to the huge success our students attain in music at all levels. The Oldham Music Service delivers instrumental and vocal tuition at Key Stage 2, 3, 4 and 5.
This small group tuition model usually sees pupils learning in groups of up to four per half hour and produces the high standards for which Oldham’s young musicians are nationally renowned. Tuition is available in all orchestral and band instruments as well as steel band, guitar, bass guitar, keyboard, ukulele, all voice types and music theatre.
