Crompton House C of E School
Crompton House is a highly-successful, over-subscribed 11-18 Comprehensive Church of England school situated on the edge of the Pennines. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic person to work with students for whom the school receives the Pupil Premium so that barriers to learning are overcome. Such barriers to learning might include prior under-attainment, problems with concentration in class and personal organisation, low self-confidence, uncertainty about career plans, problems with verbal and written communication, and persistently low school attendance. The nature of the role is such that flexibility and self-motivation are crucial.
If you feel that you could support the Designated Teacher in ensuring strategies are in place to maximise positive behaviour, high standards of achievement and attendance, with a positive “can do” attitude then this is the job for you!
Working at Crompton House School is stimulating, challenging and fun. Life here is always varied, never dull and infinitely interesting because our pupils are highly independent learners and very enthusiastic and willing participants in learning activities. This helps the staff to be passionate about everything they do and there is a great sense of community. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in school life beyond the curriculum and within the wider community.
Crompton House is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff, volunteers and governors to share this commitment. In this respect all potential applicants are advised that any offer of appointment will be subject to enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service clearance as well as other relevant recruitment checks
