School FundMaking a difference to our school
Crompton House Church of England School is an ambitious school, dedicated to improving facilities and driving up standards.
Over the past few years many improvements have been made to our facilities, including:
- A new Sports Hall
- An Art Atrium
- A 16 room extension to the Selwyn teaching block
- The replacement of the ‘All Weather Pitch’ with a ‘state of the art’ 3G pitch,
so that our sporting facilities match the talent of our students.
We recognise that none of the above projects would have been possible without the generous support of our parents.
How you can help
In the past, as a Church school, we had to find 10% of the cost of all building works. Although as an academy this is no longer the case, the recent cuts in education spending means that without parental donations, we will be limited in what we can do.
We ask all parents to consider making a voluntary contribution of £1.50 per week towards the School Fund, which equates to just £78 per year for each year their child attends the school.
The School Fund is an account held separately from the school’s delegated budget. The account is used to collect and distribute income such as charitable donations and school productions.
We appreciate that in this day and age education should be free. However in a climate of reduced Government spending on public sector services, without these additional funds we would be unable to provide the facilities that we believe our students deserve. The School Fund has been used well over the years, making Crompton House Church of England School one of the best schools in Oldham with excellent standards and exam pass rates.
We very much hope that all parents will feel able to contribute to our School Fund, so we can continue to improve our school and provide the learning environment we know our children will need as we prepare them for the future world of work.
Make a difference
We greatly appreciate any contribution however large or small, so if you are able to contribute a higher amount or feel able only to afford a lower amount, we assure you your contribution will be used wisely for the benefit of all pupils at Crompton House School.
Help us make a difference to our children’s education and start making your contribution, download and complete the Standing Order form today.
We would encourage parents who are UK tax payers to ‘Gift Aid’ their contribution which will enable the school to claim back the tax paid from the Government and increases your contribution to over £93.
