Spain vs France in the CHS World Cup!

On a scorching hot Friday afternoon MFL students from the French and Spanish classes came together for a football match that proved to be just as much about team spirit as it was about skill. What started it’s planning as a normal game quickly turned into one of the most hard to follow football matches you’ll ever see.

With over 70 students eager to take part, the enthusiasm and passion was overwhelming in the build up to kick off. The pitch buzzed with energy as players dribbled, passed, tackled, and celebrated their way through the lunchtime showdown.

Despite the competitive edge, the atmosphere remained warm, respectful, and full of good humour—a true reflection of our school’s values.

A special mention goes to our talented photographer from Year 9, who captured most of the day’s memorable moments you see here and shared in school, creating a visual story that brings the match to life on screen.

We won’t tell you which team won, because in the end, the score didn’t matter as much as the laughter, camaraderie, and shared passion that the match inspired. Whether speaking French or Spanish, everyone spoke the same language that day—football.

Until next time… ¡Vamos! / Allez!
