Hospitality & Catering
Hospitality and catering enables learners to gain knowledge, understanding and skills relating to the Catering and Hospitality Industry. In addition, this course develops sector specific knowledge and understanding, that supports learners to develop essential employability skills. The course focuses on developing students’ practical skills and knowledge of the industry.
Hospitality and Catering skills are integrated into four core topics:
- Hospitality and catering provision
- How hospitality and catering providers operate
- Health and safety in hospitality and catering
- Food safety in hospitality and catering.
Upon completion of this course, students will be qualified to go on to further study, or to embark on an apprenticeship or full-time career in the catering or food industries.
Hospitality and Catering sets out the knowledge, understanding and skills required to cook and apply the principles of food preparation at home and prepares learners for the complexities of working within industry .
