Four students from CHS were invited to participate in a performance workshop running as part of the Greater Manchester Music Hub Secondary Teacher’s Conference. The session was led by Patrick Bailey of Trinity College of Music and was designed to help teachers to help their students develop their performance skills more effectively. Logan and Alex from Year 9 and Lydia and Emily from Year 10 travelled to Manchester Metropolitan University’s lovely new building for their part of the day, and were a credit to the school. They each performed their piece to a group of teachers and were then given feedback and suggestions about how to improve in an open discussion. Although quite scary, the students felt that they had benefitted from the experience.
