Creative Geography with Year 7

This term, Year 7 Geographers have been getting creative in their lessons by understanding the structure of the Earth and the structure of a volcano. Pupils have used Terry’s chocolate oranges to understand Longitude and Latitude and the location of volcanoes, made fantastic volcano models – either volcano cakes or erupting volcanoes. They’ve used Oreo’s to demonstrate and understand the different plate margins – ultimately the crust was consumed and destroyed, and played Volcano Top Trumps to understand the different types of volcanoes on our fascinating planet!.
