If You’re Into It, Read Into It ‘Go All In’
Thursday the 5th March is the 29th World Book Day celebration, it’s also The National Year of Reading!
World Book Day is a charity, and their mission is to give every child and young person in the UK the opportunity to own their own reading book by giving out free £1:00 book vouchers.
On WBD 5th March, Year 7, 8, 9 and Sixth Form only may dress up as a recognisable fictional children’s book character. If students simply come in non-uniform or a football kit they will be sent home to change. It has to be a recognisable fictional children’s book character. Oversized or inflatable costumes are also not allowed for safety reasons.
