Our Ukrainian flag was raised on Friday the 24th February to show solidarity to the brave people in Ukraine. Inside our school, classrooms sat silent as the clocks reached 11am. All of our staff and students send our prayers out to the innocent who have been impacted by the Ukrainian conflict.

On Saturday, 21st January, a group of Crompton House students walked 40 kilometres for the charity PAPYRUS (Parents’ Association for the Prevention of Young Suicide). On Saturday, 21st January, our Crompton House cheerleading team participated in the ICC National Championship Competition at the BEC Arena in Manchester. The 19 girls from Years 7-11 performed stunningly well, achieving zero deductions on the judges’ scorecards, helping them to lift the trophy to celebrate becoming ICC Northern Championship School Division winners. Last Saturday (3rd December), we held our Christmas Fair here at Crompton House. We want to thank everyone involved, whether you helped set up, ran a stall, or just visited. Seeing so many people attend was lovely. You helped us raise over £4000, pushing us one step closer to purchasing a school minibus.      

Our kind-hearted Year 11 student Mila Emms has been knitting woollen hats for The Royal Oldham Hospital baby unit. Mila wanted to make a difference to the lives of the most unwell and vulnerable babies in the local area and beyond. We are incredibly proud and are sure the baby unit will love them too!
