Welcome to Beal Vale Primary

Beal Vale Primary School set to be the 1st Primary School to join Crompton House C of E Multi Academy Trust.

Beal Vale Primary School is delighted to share the exciting news that it’s Multi Academy Trust

Application has been approved. Beal Vale Primary School is currently an Oldham maintained school but will become the first primary school to become part of the new established Crompton House C of E Multi Academy Trust. Beal Vale Primary School has been consistently rated by OFSTED as a good school. It is well established in the Shaw area and even has its own history trail tracing its roots back to 1932.

Consultation took place prior to the Department of Education (DfE) approving Beal Vale’s application to join the Crompton House Multi Academy Trust.  Both pupils, parents and governors of Beal Vale fully supported the application. The new Beal Vale Primary School will open on the 1st September 2019.

Mr John Richards, Head Teacher at Beal Vale Primary School explains ‘We are all very excited about this next stage in the development of our two schools which share common values and place children at the centre of everything we do and believe. We are offering an enhancement to the education landscape in the Shaw area. We will be building on the strong educational foundations of both schools. We believe the trust has fantastic potential to improve learning opportunities for our local children.”

Beal Vale Primary School has already been working closely with Crompton House C of E School and together they aim to develop and strengthen excellence in teaching and learning provision for the local community.

Schools within the Trust have clear vision:  ‘To provide and develop a world class family of schools and to put systems in place to enable all to “achieve excellence” and to raise standards at all key stages

Victoria Musgrave, the Chair of the Board of Directors for the Multi Academy trust explained that this will be achieved by:

  • Becoming part of a local family of schools which will work together to provide outstanding pastoral care of all members of the community.
  • Having a relentless focus on ‘excellence’ in every aspect of school life, acting as a beacon to the local community.
  • Encouraging a life-long love of learning to develop individual self-esteem and therefore, giving young people the confidence to grow into well developed, well rounded, resilient, global citizens.
  • Developing the whole child/ young person with a specific focus on Sport, Music and the Arts as a way of promoting involvement in extra-curricular activities, locally, nationally and internationally.
