Before Christmas Mrs Cullen in the Learning Zone received a call from 88 year old Mrs Knight, a CHS neighbour, who was wondering if our library donated books. December is perhaps one of the busiest months in the academic year for the Music Department, and also the month where our students and staff have the most fun! During Advent, students embraced every opportunity they had to perform, and were pleased to share their musical talents with audiences at a variety of live events.

All Crompton House students attended a Founders’ Day Service at Oldham Parish Church on the 1st of October.  The ceremony celebrated the founding of the school in 1926 after Crompton House was donated to the Church of England by Miss Mary Crompton and Mrs. Anne Ormerod, on the grounds that it would become a school

The students of Crompton House Church of England School received their GCSE results on Thursday 12th of August 2021, and it was another excellent set of grades with the students’ attainment being well above the national average.  27% of all results were at grades 7-9, 66% of all results were at grades 5-9 and 81%

Congratulations to ex-student Stuart Bithell on his gold medal in the men’s 49er sailing at the Tokyo Olympics.  Crompton House is proud to have two of its alumni representing Great Britain in the games.  As well as Stuart,  Matt Walls is taking part in the track cycling.
