Art Department Remembrance Display

Year 7 and 8 pupils made poppies to create our Remembrance display at the front of school.  The poppies were formed in clay then fired in the kiln before being painted with acrylic paints and varnished.  Over 100 individual poppies formed our display. Well done to all the pupils involved!

A Level Art Exhibition 7 July 2015

A level Fine Art students have recently completed their final pieces for their examination unit.  They had 15 hours to create their art work on the theme of expressions, relationships or everyday objects.  The resulting paintings and drawings are stunning and will be displayed at our Summer Exhibition on July 7th.  

Year 7 Project – ‘Faces of Britain’

Year 7 pupils have created this stunning collage as part of the school’s ‘British Values Week”.    The small faces were made using a wax monoprinting technique.  Most Year 7 pupils have completed at least one face for the collage which measures 2 x 1 metres.
